Who actually likes cleaning? I hate it, and the fact I’m a single guy without any help makes it twice the pain. With my two dogs who always shed, it is time-consuming to keep up with floor cleaning. However, I recently discovered a great Black Friday deal online for the Shark IQ Robot Vacuums, and I impulsively clicked the “buy” button on Amazon. I was a skeptic that this vacuum could really get all of Pete and Sandy’s globs of hair off the carpet but so far, I must say, it has been super-awesome with all the people I’ve had over lately. My mom even commented how clean my place looked when she was over! If you are currently comparing robot vacuums, hopefully my review of the Shark IQ robot vacuum will help. I personally give the vacuum 4 out of 5 starts, and here’s why:
Effortless Clean-Up with the Shark IQ Robot Vacuum
Having two Labradoodles, pet hair gets EVERYWHERE, and I just don’t have time every week to do a quick run through with a vacuum cleaner. How well does the Shark IQ pick up pet hair? This self-cleaning robot is built for sucking up dog hair in record time! The powerful suction and brush roll remove both short and long pet hair, even from from shag rugs. Since I suffer from frequent congestion and sinus issues, it is nice not having to dump the filter drawer very often. It really depends how often you use it, but typically, you could empty it about once a month.
Being a tech-lover, I really like using the Shark Clean App. Since I don’t have Amazon’s Alexa, I use the app on my smartphone to turn it on while I’m away sometimes. When I’m at home, I just tell the robot to start cleaning… it’s voice command-enabled.
Is a Robot Vacuum Worth the Money?
In my opinion, just knowing I can have my place pet-hair free within an hour, makes it worth it. You just never know when a friend or family member might show up on the fly. There are a lot of auto vacuums on the market, but I think I picked a good one. The motion sense feature is excellent, and it hasn’t missed a spot. Plus, it does a fair job in my master bathroom where beard trimmings often collect on the floor.
The full features of the Shark IQ (model R1001AE):

- Ultimate Convenience (Self-Emptying)
If you have dogs and cats that shed like crazy, I highly recommend the shark IQ robot vacuum. If you don’t have the time to clean it up yourself or hate wrestling with the vacuum, it’s the perfect solution to getting rid of pet hair from carpets, rugs, and floors. This vacuum has made life so much easier for me, and I know during the upcoming holidays it’s going to be great when family arrives.
For what this review is worth, the Shark IQ robot vacuum is my very first auto vacuum. I’ve never owned one before, so I don’t have much to compare it to. But another big plus in my book is my dogs haven’t had any trouble adjusting to it. I know some small dogs tend to be more timid to devices like this. I am, however, crossing my fingers that this $400+ vacuum does not break anytime soon! Be sure and check out the other Shark IQ robot vacuum reviews on Amazon before you buy.
